2-chōme-2-1 Funaimachi, Oita, 870-0021, Japan

Oita Bank's ``Red Brick Building'' was built in 1913 (Taisho 2) as the former Nijusan Bank headquarters. It was designed by Kingo Tatsuno, who also designed Tokyo Station, and has been designated as a registered tangible cultural property of the country. In 2018, part of the exterior and interior were renovated, making this beautiful Renaissance-style historic building even more attractive.

A very iconic building along the main Street of Oita. The lovely blue sky setting makes the building looked even more impressive. It now houses a bank and a cafe in it. It also sells local produces. Nice to stop for a quick coffee stop.

Same designer as Tokyo Station. Classic and Gothic design combination for Oita Bank HQ. 7 Minutes walk from Oita Station
