I went there for the first time on a weekday in late March to see the famous weeping cherry blossoms. I arrived at a nearby parking lot (500 yen per day) around 9:30, handed the parking fee to the person in charge, and walked for 1-2 minutes to reach Seiun-ji Temple. There were large weeping cherry blossoms blooming at the entrance of the temple, but beyond the building there were so many large weeping cherry blossoms that you couldn't help but cry out. There were not many visitors yet, so we were able to take our time and enjoy taking photos while looking at the cherry blossoms. I looked at the weeping cherry blossoms from the hill next to the shrine, and when I came back around 10 o'clock, there were many people watching. I'm sure it will be extremely crowded on the weekends.

Visited on 23.4.1. It is very beautiful, with many weeping cherry trees (there are several types and the best time to see them), forsythia, and Japanese peach, including the 600-year-old Edohigan cherry tree. The illumination will only be held on the 4th. We recommend going at dusk to see the light up from 6pm. During the daylight hours, the many weeping cherry blossoms are easily visible, but during the dark hours, the 600-year-old Edohigan cherry tree takes center stage. It was very nice to have a presence.

Visited on the afternoon of March 31st. There was a parking lot nearby for 500 yen. There were many beautiful weeping cherry blossoms in the temple, and many people were fascinated by them. However, it didn't feel crowded and I was able to take photos normally. The cherry blossoms had already finished blooming and were starting to fall. When the wind blew, it was nice to see the cherry blossoms scattering everywhere, although it wasn't a blizzard. I wanted to come a little earlier and see the cherry blossoms in full bloom. However, I think it's still a little fun. I don't often see so many weeping cherry blossoms here, so this is a recommended place.

Nice but I wasn't totally conquered. There are too many better sights even less remote. A walk in the area is however super recommended. The local grannies are super friendly and gave my friend and I a lot of old stuff they had rotting away in their houses ;)
