Saigo Cave
19 Shiroyamacho, Kagoshima, 892-0853, Japan
This cave is where Saigo Takamori spent his last days with the administrators of his private school during the final stages of the Satsuma rebellion after returning from fighting numerous battles around Kyushu in 1877. If you happen to drive past, you can stop. But it just a whole in a wall. The historical facts disolayed can be googled. You do not need to be there to connect the dots.
