very enlightening learning about the history of the place. the blue old police post?? UNBELIEVABLE!! the view of Tsuruoka?? UNMATCHED!! the garden?? FORGERTABOURIT!! 🤩

Is it winter? Don’t go. 3 building or exhibition closed. There are empty buildings… which we can take pictures of the empty rooms. An interesting exhibition, we are asked not to take pictures… The most interesting is the outside architecture.

If you are an university student, you could get special price by showing your ID card. There are several buildings to visit and take a look, and the garden is so pretty. It's nice enjoying the view by only sitting on tatami. The stairs inside the police office a little bit too high, so be careful if you decide to go up

A fairly interesting museum of local culture, architecture, and the like. I thought the entry fee of 700 yen was a bit rich given the source of most exhibits (donations), the size of the museum (not enormous) and the subject matter overall, but reasonable people can differ on this point, I expect...
