Took the back route through the woods to get here, which was a challenge. Genjiyama park is pretty nice, with a water spigot and toilet, a statue of Yoritomo, and is connected to the hiking trail between Kita Kamakura and the Daibutsu. The paths are stone paved, as a feature, giving the feeling that the park has been around for a long while.

We loved it here! Such an awesome hike, decent views, nice forest area and awesome temples.

You might get lost getting up here. You have to go up narrow stairways that go right behind homes. Just keep going up and you will eventually get there

Charming little park along the Daibutsu Hiking Trail on the way to Kotoku-in Temple and the Giant Buddha of Kamakura.

Beautiful big park, perfect for walking, hiking or trail running. Little slippy and rocky in places, wear good trainers or boots. Pretty views and many temples, shrines and a monument. Many picnic tables and lovely open grass areas for kids. About 20 minute walk from Kamakura station, lovely walk through residential areas
