Nice place to stroll around, with lots of restaurants and gift shops! 👍

For tourists, it's worth spending some time checking out a few of the shops in the arcade. Some decent items if you want to get any souvenirs or gifts. A bit overpriced and not worth any hassle to visit however.

Small-ish type of stores similar to the usual Chinatown setups in big cities, but instead of Chinese items the stores feature Japanese goods that are Made In Japan! No pirated items at all, everything is original, branded items. They look cheap but the prices are expensive! There are several massage stores and beauty parlors as well. You can skip visiting this place, you won’t miss any.

It is a very interesting part of Fukuoka to visit. Similar to Sinsekai in Osaka, or Asakusa in Tokyo. It gives a glimpse of the traditional culture of Japan and nostalgia of the old time. It is very highly recommended and enjoyable. You can spot sple of the really old ramen stores and shops that sell Buddhist supplies. Walk the whole stretch, you can reach the famous Kushida temple as well.

A sheltered pedestrians only traditional shopping arcade with shops selling apparels,Japanese chinaware, tea, and restaurants. We found some beautiful tea pots and cups and had a good lunch here.
