I did the glass bead experience without an appointment and enjoyed it very much. Staff are friendly and will baby step you through the entire process. It will take 50 min for the bead to cool down which gives you plenty of time to explore the garden so I recommend doing the work shop first. Will love to do this activity again.

Really fun experience on a rain day in Hakone. There are many craft options to choose from (some take a few days to finish and can only be shipped to an address IN JAPAN). We made glass beads and out of those made hair pins! The person instructing us was super nice and spoke enough English to move us along. Highly recommend!

Awesome experience! You pick what you want to male and choose your design. Then the staff guides you through the whole process. I made a custom beer glass. Just be aware, you can't pick it up for 5 days, but they will ship it if you're still in Japan.

As an English speaker with only a little Japanese knowledge it was easy to get into the sand blasting class. It was a short wait until the class started so we looked around the park while we waited. The class was easy to follow and it was fun creating our own designs. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We went to a nearby cafe while we waited for the glass to be blasted and got to take home our creation after! Altogether it was about 1.5h and quite affordable! Definitely recommended!

I had a nice experience. I made a small key holder, and the staff were very nice and patient. The gardens are beautiful, providing a calm place to relax and enjoy. I highly recommend it. If you have the time, you can even make your own glass bead (which takes around 2 hours).
