Along with sake brewing, the Red Brick Warehouse has continued to watch over the modern era of Hirosaki. Its dignified appearance embodies history while shining with a new mission. While making full use of the brick structure, the interior has a modern structure with steel frames and other features that make it stand out. The exhibition room space is basically black and white, with lighting that makes the works look beautiful. I think the interior can be changed to suit special exhibitions. It felt like a museum with a lot of freedom. Since there are only a few permanent exhibits, the atmosphere inside the museum can be completely changed to accommodate special exhibitions, and this creates a gap with the existing modern space, which I found very interesting. On the second floor, there is a workspace equipped with Wi-Fi, and a collection of art-related books and catalogs are available for viewing. It was an open space and very comfortable. The adjacent building houses a cafe and museum shop, where you can purchase local craft cider, various souvenirs, original museum products, and items tailored to special exhibitions. Also, the menu at the cafe was stylish and looked very delicious. I wasn't able to eat it because it was a private reservation, so I'd like to try it next time. The surrounding area is a park, and it's fun to take a walk outside on sunny days. There is no parking lot, so you will have to park at a nearby coin parking lot. When you go to Hirosaki, be sure to take a look at the wonderful architecture and art! !

1300 yen for the admission price is highway robbery. There’s no permanent collection. I walked through the temporary exhibition in less than 10 minutes. I wasn’t into the exhibition so felt I wasted money.
