Nice place needs to take thirty minutes bus or car drive from the Izumo taisha. You can enjoy a great horizon on sea with sea breeze. Although it would be a bit high, 39m from ground with no cover, still worth going as a spot in Izumo region. At least you can go here with visiting the shrine and having high quality seafood Don as well here.

Very beautiful view! It is advisable to go in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat. Not many people come here during weekday, so it was nice to to have the whole place for yourself. There is a trekking path nearby if you want to enjoy the view of the sea. The lighthouse has 6-7 floors, the last stair was really scary to climb. But it is worth climbing to the top. Beautiful view with breezing wind. There are some restaurants and cafes nearby too.

I added the lighthouse to my trip to the Hinomisaki Shrine. I am glad I did. It was a bit of a climb to get to the lighthouse, but all paved roads. It was well worth the climb. The views were spectacular and the breeze was a relief from the heat and humidity of the day. The stairs inside the lighthouse are fine to go up. Going down I took off my socks to prevent slipping. You will have to remove your shoes at the ticket window and place them in a cubby. Afterwards I wandered around the Daisen-Oki National Park and looked at the water, the rocks, and enjoyed the serenity of it all!
