A wonderful second temple to visit after the moss temple, or even on its own!

This place was a hidden small gem in Kyoto that offers tranquil environments in a small bamboo forest. It had only three parking spots and was virtually limited to 1-hour parking. I was able to enter two temples, where one was allowed to walk in and enjoy the Japanese temple deck. I highly recommend this place for people looking for a quiet yet beautiful temple to visit.

Underrated and worth a stop in between visits to the other more famous temples and shrines in the area. Very serene vibes here, and it's possible you won't run into another visitor during your entire time there. The place is not large, and half an hour is enough to experience it all.

A very nice bamboo surrounded environment with fresh air and green moss. Usually it is not crowded, so it is easy to enjoy. 500 yen for entrance fee, with a free parking slot but the drive to it is very narrow.

it was very quiet yet calming. had a little cute charming garden. it will be great for autumn with all the Japanese maple changing colors! it is NOT for those who love marvelous Golden Temple.
