When Oda Nobunaga attacked Asakura, he was betrayed by Asai and fell into a predicament. Nobunaga was the first to flee to Kyoto, but Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu fought reluctantly. It is a famous place as the retreat castle of Kanegasaki. It is located near Tsuruga Port. It takes about 30 minutes from Tsuruga Station to Tsuruga Port. I'm going up the stone stairs. You can clearly see Tsuruga Port. At the foot of the mountain, there is also a temple called Konzenji, which is associated with Kobo Daishi. I think it would be a good idea to visit this place as well. Tsuruga Red Brick Warehouse was not as I expected.

It was built at the final resting place of Prince Takayoshi, Yoshiaki Nitta, and the soldiers of the Nanbokucho period, and is located at the top of a hill. You can clearly see that it faces the sea on three sides. It is also the starting point where Oda Nobunaga retired on the Sabakaido road. Recommended as a set with Kehi Shrine.

There is a flower changing festival in spring. It is also known as a famous spot for cherry blossoms, and the cherry blossoms are beautiful! There is a path to the left of the shrine that leads to the back, and after walking for about 10 minutes (I have never timed it), a beautiful scenery spreads out!
