Came here early April 2023. Slightly late but the cherry blossoms were still beautiful. Open picnic place to set up a mat and sit around, enjoying the flowers and falling petals. Only four stars for this area because there were stalls set up, so we were not able to take photos without them showing up in the background. :) Of course, you could just enjoy the atmosphere and forget about taking photos for a while. The entire riverbanks were lined by cherry blossom trees for endless photo opportunities.

Came here twice 2nd and 4th April 2023, for hanami. Within two days, almost half the petals were swept away. It is one of the best places for hanami even the name of the JR station will guide you here, Sakuranomiya. See you next year.

Probably over a thousand cherry trees all in full bloom. Big open space and not much crowds. No bus loads of tourists. Plenty of restrooms, shade and rest areas. Love this park.

I was here few days back for Sakura watching and was blown away by the beautiful Sakura trees. You’ll love strolling through the riverside road covered with Sakura trees from both side. You’ll find little shops with local delicacies along the way. And of course don’t miss the chance of cruising around the river at pretty low cost.

One of the best Sakura spots in Osaka. It’s not limited in the park area. Along each riversides, there are quite lots of place for picnic, walking, jogging, cycling, or even just sit at somewhere and enjoy the view. The Sakura is everywhere in blossom season (during end of March to beginning of April). Very good place for outside activities.
