This year, in the Year of the Dragon, I visited the Dragon Shrine. It was a chance visit to Fukui, but I found Moya Kokuryu Jinja on the map. As I passed through the torii gate and looked up at the shrine, I was greeted by a warm early spring breeze, which was pleasant and welcoming. Although the precincts are small, there is a chozuya, a sessha, and a shrine office, as well as amulets for sale. The main hall was a magnificent Shinmei-zukuri structure with chiki and bonito trees. The parking lot is free and can accommodate about 5 to 6 cars.

On the Lantern Festival, the fifteenth day of the first lunar month of the Jiachen year, I came to the Black Dragon Shrine to pay homage. The shrine is not large in scale, but it exudes a sense of energy everywhere. It mainly worships the Black Dragon Daimyojin of Echizen in the north, one of Japan's four great gods passed down from ancient times. It seems to be quite popular in normal times, but its popularity has surged this year in the Year of the Dragon. The special fortune guard for the Year of the Dragon exudes domineering power; The royal seal of the black and white double dragons is very exquisite and worth collecting. However, the price of 2,000 yen for Gomori is on the high side, more than double that of other shrines.

I passed through the torii gate at 9 o'clock on February 12, 2024. Last year, I came to worship on February 11th, as if I had been called to the same month. When I looked up at the sky, dragon clouds appeared here and there, and when I stepped into the temple grounds, I definitely felt an indescribable feeling of great power. For the first time in my 62 years of life, I bought a goshuin book and had it written directly on me! I'm so grateful and grateful.

2024, a power spot in the Year of the Dragon?! If you want to buy fortunes or lucky charms, go from 9am to 4pm. Visits are possible 24 hours a day. About 30 minutes walk from Fukui Station. Fukui Prefecture has many rainy or cloudy days. It is important to check the weather forecast. By bus, it takes about 10 minutes from Fukui Station. Buses are crowded during commuter and commuter school hours. The tourist information center at the Fukui Ekimae bus stop will give you detailed instructions on how to ride the bus. A pleasant response. The shrine itself is small. Located in the mountains, there are several spots nearby where you can take a walk. Good for a walk.

In the year of the Dragon, I went to Moya Kuroryu Shrine for a New Year's visit to pray for good luck. It was very crowded, probably because everyone was thinking the same thing. It is also famous as a power spot, and it seems like there are various blessings such as a wishing stone and a misfortune stone. There are many different shapes of amulets, and it's fun to choose one. The goshuin is very nice and has a dragon on it, so it's worth asking for once. However, it's really crowded, so it's difficult to get to the parking lot, and it's a long walk to visit the shrine, so it's best to dress warmly.
