Daijingu Shrine located in Obiyacho, Kochi City. The golden torii gate and electric bulletin board, which is rare for shrines, are landmarks. When I came to visit the shrine, I was surprised to see that there were many chickens kept on the grounds. In the legend of Amaterasu Omikami, the deity that is enshrined there, there is a story that when Yaoyorozu's gods tried to call her back, the Tokoyo Nagarutori chirped and tried to bring Amaterasu out of the Iwato. Apparently they keep chickens, which are said to be descendants of birds. Therefore, there are other chicken statues in the precincts, and instead of the chozu and guardian dogs, there are guardian chickens? there is. Although the shrine is located in the city, parking is free. There is also Yosakoi Inari Shrine within the grounds. At the shrine office, you can receive a goshuin in addition to the amulet. Please prepare a goshuin book as everything except the date is stamped and cannot be written down. I was disappointed when I saw the official X (old Twitter), but it's a good shrine.

A guardian chicken, not a guardian dog. There are also chickens kept on the grounds, and I felt very lucky to see them crow many times before and after visiting the shrine. It is located between Hirome Yokocho and Kochi Castle, so we recommend that you visit it along the way. It's soothing.

There are many chickens raised near the entrance. There were some birds that looked like gamecocks, so it was fun to watch. Why? We also visited the Inari Shrine on the premises and headed to the main shrine. It was a strange feeling since there is a tall building next door, but I made sure to visit.

Apparently there are free-range chickens on the premises of the shrine, so I stopped by to get a goshuin stamp. Even though it's in a busy area, there was a dedicated 🅿️ parking lot. You can go by car. According to the person who wrote the goshuin and gave it to me, the chickens were not allowed to go outside due to guidance from above, so they were kept in a cage! ⛩️There is also a ``Yosakoi Inari Shrine'', and it will be lively and lively during the Yosakoi Festival!

Located in next to Hirome market, which is the most famous sightseeing spot in Kochi. Contrary to the heat of Hirome market, this is quiet and sacred place. You may think if this is place near Hirome market. In this place, there are dozens of roosters. People think them as emissaries of God. Good place, I felt relaxed.
