Local fav shrine in this neighborhood. Peaceful, classy and beautiful temples. We saw few friends sat near to the lotus pond, they were drawing. Visit date 20/12

The night visit is worth it ! - need entry fees - session flute performance - no shoes in the temple I also spotted a salamander in the pond but apparently no one cared.. not even the salamander

We were there for the night time illuminations and autumn leaves viewing at the Temple, and the experience was incredible!

Japanese history viewpoint. As of April 4, 2023, the cherry blossoms are almost finished here, but you can still see many unusual rubber ducks if that’s something you would enjoy! Quite grand and with beautiful views from up high. Pictures from 2022 and 2023.

The Temple belongs to Pure Land Sect of the Buddhism, and it is free of charge for the entrance admission, even though it is a Temple full of beauty, Buddhist deity statues, well-maintained garden and trees, and worshipping halls. Main Gate of the Temple is rather similar to the main gate of Nanzenji Temple, when their main gates are all sturdy, with double, thick wood doors and supported by tall and big round column. It seems that the Temple supports the deceased families for the funeral and other related services, and there are large spaces of burial grounds for the deceased in different areas of the Temple.
