Lovely local shine with a mixture of what was very common before the Meiji era , but has become far more rare since - a mixture of the Kami and Buddha together in the same complex.

Even though it is small I think it is one of my favourites, it has a ring to do a small and funny ritual. It has goshuin.

Attractive shrine with goushuine available right at the entrance. Bathrooms aren’t great but are easily accessible.

A nice inari shrine just near the entrance of Kumamoto castle. They have lots of protective charms and fortune papers. You can also get a beautiful goshuinchō. The castle is just behind, it is still under repair (as of March 2020) but it’s definitely worth a visit.
