A magical place, definitely you have to visit if you are in the south part of the Wakayama prefecture. We visited in January it was a bit cold, I can imagine from April till September nature there. 🍀👍🏻🥷🏻🇯🇵🪭

Good place. Good feel. Good. Stamps were at main building. They will collect them when close. So be there before they close if you want Kumano Koudo stamps.

The ancient Kumano Kodo trail. Lush greenery, towering cedar trees, and the tranquil sounds of nature. There are many many steps up the shrine along the historical and spiritual Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route. Nachi Falls is one of Japan's highest waterfalls. The sight of the cascading water against the backdrop of the surrounding mountains is breathtaking and provides a serene setting for reflection. For those seeking a day of exploration, connection with nature, and cultural immersion, the Kumano Kodo Walking Trail & Nachi Falls One Day Tour is an enriching experience that captures the essence of Japan's natural beauty and spiritual heritage.

This shrine was very calm and beautiful. You can make a wish while passing through in this 850year old tree that is very sacred. Here you can also have a nice view of the pagoda with the background of the Falls this was our highlight coming here in the region. We came up by car , just need to pay 800yen for the entry including parking. But if you are willing to come up by steep stairs you can easily park somewhere else where you only pay 400yen or 500yen.
