A large park with tennis court with open space, with various trails for a good walk with slopes too.

I was here a month too early. During hanami, spring, or summer, this place would be lush with vibrant plant life

Really fun park to walk around near the castle ruins / historical site. Some cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom as of Feb 24 2024. But… not many Spring time will be beautiful!

Was searching for the best place for cherry flower blossoming in Fukuoka and got this place recommended. Visited here on 22-03-23 and 27-03-23,the weather was getting better so we had our best time to enjoy the spring blossom at last week of March! Will definitely recommend to anyone who would like to have a walk in Fukuoka. There are also historical sights and museum to visit so can easily spend one full day here.

Maizuru Park in Fukuoka, Japan is often referred to as one of the most beautiful parks in the city. Located in downtown Fukuoka, the park is popular for its stunning cherry blossoms that bloom in the spring, creating a canopy of pink that covers the entire park.Beyond the cherry blossoms, Maizuru Park is home to an array of stunning landscapes and ornamental gardens. The park features a large pond, which is surrounded by winding walking paths decorated with vibrant seasonal flowers. The park's diverse range of plants and trees create a picture-perfect backdrop to relax, picnic, or take photographs. At the top of the hill in the park is an ancient fortification of Fukuoka known as Fukuoka Castle ruins. Although only a part of the castle remains, visitors still enjoy exploring the man-made tunnels that lead in and out of the area. Maizuru Park is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, and it’s rated by many as a must-visit spot in Fukuoka. Whether you're looking to take photographs or simply want a relaxing day out with your family, this park offers plenty of opportunities to do just that.
