2-chōme-10-1 Matsuo, Naha, Okinawa 900-0014, Japan
Naha's Makishi district is a place where you can get a glimpse of the days when Okinawa was known as the Ryukyu Kingdom, which flourished by trading with various countries around Asia. You can find interesting marketplaces all around the district, some of which are located in the Sakae-cho area, which thrived as Naha's downtown in the old days.

Indoor market that sells fresh beef and seafood on first floor. A variety of restaurants on the second floor. The market also has clean public restrooms on both floors.

Such a great experience! I did go with local friends so it made communication easier. We got a fish, turban shell, scallops, tuna, and salmon sashimi. We asked for the whole fish cooked and half raw and half cooked for the turban shell. I’m from the Midwest in the US so for me this was so good! I also went back and bought a piece of tuna for dinner. It was melt on your mouth the best tuna I have ever had! Definitely recommend!

The cleanest fish market I've ever been to. We visited different stores and enjoyed the experience. A number of fish stores had Chinese speaking staff who tried quite hard to sell to Chinese tourists that they could buy the seafood and have them cooked upstairs. It's too touristy to my taste and I was a bit turned off by that.

Nice place to find your lunch with fresh sea food or pork :) The place located not far from the city area. In a 15 mins working distance. Inside you can find a fresh market clear and full of variety of selection from souvenir to fr Fresh meat. In the second floor you can bring the fresh food to be cooked. It’s a place you can come enjoy your lunch here in a reasonable price :)))

Top notch seafood market on the first floor with a bunch of restaurants that will cook your catch for you. Great place to wander around, some English spoken on most stalls and clean. You pay for the seafood downstairs and then move upstairs for the cooking. They'll suggest some cooking methods. We had some local specialties like coconut crab and slipper lobster and parrot fish. Lobster was great as sashimi and the fried fish was delicious.
