Many lucky cats to see. Must try the hands on painting of the lucky cats especially good fun if you visit with your friends.

Lovely manekineko museum, the owners are so nice! The museum is the "smallest museum in Japan" and next door you can paint your own manekineko! Great way to spend a morning or afternoon. The easiest way up and down, is to take a taxi!

Depends on where you are located as to whether or not it's worth it. If you are in Okayama already and have nothing to do then it's not bad. The train station to get to the museum is two stops from Okayama main station, but it's quite a rural station. There is no taxi phone, so be prepared to call from a cell phone or use an app. Walking is really not an option since you are looking at over an hour walk literally up a mountain. If you REALLY like neko statues then it's good for 30 minutes or so of your time. It's cute, but smaller than it seems in the pictures. Taxi was about $15 there and $15 back to the station plus admission was about $6 a person.
