Cool experience for anyone interested in Mazda as a brand or car manufacturing in general. Free tour offered in English; you just have to sign up through their website in advance (sign-ups open 30 days before the desired tour date). The museum was neat to see display models (some of which you can interact with/try out, others are interesting for historical significance - like the Mazda 787B Le Mans 1991 championship vehicle). Our favourite part was getting to walk the factory floor and see vehicles being assembled behind the scenes (just a heads up: no photos allowed for that portion of the tour though). The gift shop was cute and had some limited edition Mazda keepsakes/accessories, but it was a lot smaller than we were expecting. Would definitely recommend if you are in Hiroshima and at all curious about Mazda!

As a Mazada owner, this was a pilgrimage for us. The tour must be prebooked, and it is a straightforward process. The tour was full even on a weekday in winter. We caught a bus from central Hiroshima station it took about 30 minutes. You can also get a train. The reception area has cars, a photo booth and some displays as well as a cafe. The tour will take a full two hours. There was a guide and two other mazada employees who accompanied you on the tour of about 40 people. I can not emphasize how wonderful these people were who hosted us. They were warm and interesting and were a highlight for this tour. During the busride she explained the sites and we understood how big the maxada operation is own water & power plant and bridge! The museum has a small shop with a limited range of products. I would like to suggest they extend the range of products available to mazda fans here. It was pricey but worth it. I purchased a keyring and charm for my Mazda and would have brought more if it had been available. The museum itself is world class the displays are accessible and engaging. The highlight of the tour was the final part viewing the production line. If you love cars and especially if you are a mazda drive this is a must do, even if you are not interested in motoring it is a great experience for the whole family.

It was a free tour, so very impressive for 2 hours of entertainment! The best part was seeing the factory line and the cars being made. You can't take photos there, so just trust me! The guide spoke good English. There's a free carpark. Make sure to book your tour in advance online.

We had a wonderful tour. We learned a lot about Mazda's history and origins. We also visited the assembly plant and saw how the cars are made. Our guide Mr Kanaguchi was very helpful and attentive. He answered all our questions and took good care of us. We give him five stars and a big thumbs up!

A great tour of the factory and get the history of the brand. Overall, it was very good for a free tour! I thought the full history was not completely captured. Where are all the older car models? And I felt there could have been a lookout point to see the scale of the factory site. There could have been interactive areas/driving simulation/similar rather than it just be a walk around. There could have been plaques/information boards about what each station was doing in the factory. I wish the gift shop had more - like stickers and cool hats/shirts - i felt it was a bit sparse for such a big brand. The bus seats are not particularly western butt sized - just a heads up for any future visitors. Quite easy to get to from Hiroshima station by bus.
