Perfect quick hike, there a direct train to the trailhead the hankyu line. If you want to escape the city and be with nature, this is the perfect spot. Easy river trail although I haven’t tried the mountain trail. It’s paved all the way to the waterfalls and you can sit there infront of the falls, you can’t swim. There are stores selling beers, ice cream and meals but there are machines also if they are closed already. You will pass along temple and houses going up. There’s no fee to hike up also.

Easy to reach with paving street, could bring stroller or wheelchair! but cannot going down into the water. There's stall besides the location, can sit down while enjoy food or snack.

There was plenty of rain in the previous 24 hours, which meant the flow over the falls was spectacular. The viewing area near the base had to be roped off due to all the spray being generated. A very peaceful walk up from the nearest station. Today seemed busy, but that is likely due to the extra water coming over the Falls.

Great escape from the busy streets of Osaka, and an easy half day trip via train to a nice little town. The walk to the waterfall is about 45 minutes each way but there are lots of scenic spots to see on the way along with various shops and food vendors. There are also a good amount of toilet facilities at different points during the walk in. The waterways and the falls themselves are beautiful with a nice rest area to sit and enjoy. Definitely recommended if you have the time when staying in either Osaka or Kyoto.

An awesome hike, that's a short train ride from Osaka. There is a brilliant waterfall at the end of the hike, as well as options for a mount climb, and visiting a template. There are lots of food stands along the way, but I suggest stocking up at Lawsons at the station before you head up.
