A.M.A.Z.I.N.G . There is just no word to describe how mesmerising the view from up top. The gondola also so efficient in taking yku to the top of the mountain. The temperature when I came was -8 degree C. So, make sure to wear the layering properly. You can play with the snow to your heart content at the park outside the observatory.

Really beautiful, worth the trip. Go during February. There was some snow, but not very heavy. Nohibus shuttle bus is very good. Make traveling easier Beautiful roadside view

I bought the 2 days passes in Klook. I think if you know how to plan and not going for any onsen or ski resort, 1 day pass is good enough. If you are trekking make sure you go there with the local. The Klook ticket includes the bus ride and the round trip ropeway. There are two ropeways so you need to go to the highest to see the view. Please remember to alight at station 1 and go to station 2. When I was there, there were a few ice sculptures and light activities promoting the Hida arts. When you returned from the highest mountain you will pass by a bakery shop. I highly recommend the pudding. The Hida beef curry bread, so-so. And the place is spacious and you can chill abit before moving on.

We went during Winter time and was just able to go 1 level up until Station 1 only because the snow was crazy. Snow storm started after an hour of us roaming around the park. You would appreciate the place more in Autumn or Spring time because you can walk around and even go to the deck to see the Japanese Alps. Overall- our experience was great! There is food available in the restaurant in Station 1 and also in thr Base Station- best ice cream we ever tasted (Blueberry Flav).

Simple bus ride to get the the ropeway from Takayama bus station. Very nice view and spent more than 45mins at the top deck.
