A miracle of Amida Nyorai, the principal image of Zenkoji Temple? It is decorated with many votive tablets from the Edo period to the Taisho period, which were dedicated by people who lived in the area. There is something like a beam of light of mercy coming out from around the Tathagata's face, but there are no beams or beams coming from the eyes. It was interesting to see the beam pattern coming from the mouth. Originally, the beam (?) seems to be coming out from the Byakugo phase.

Although it is relatively modest among Zenkoji's facilities, there are quite a lot of exhibits. It was one place I bought with the admission ticket set, but it was worth seeing.

When I visited in April, it was night, so of course I couldn't enter. This time, I visited again in June and saw the long-awaited Miwa Komatsu exhibition. After all, when I looked at it up close, I was able to enjoy an amazing view of the world. I was also happy to see so many other historical materials that I couldn't photograph. The appearance is impressive at night, almost scary.

There are three museums at Zenkoji Temple, the Zenkoji Museum, the Zenkoji Daikanjin Treasure Museum, and the Zenkoji Daikanjin Treasure Museum, but this is the Zenkoji Museum. You can enter with a common ticket. Go up the stairs and there is a historical museum at the bottom. It would be nice if you could enter from the side without going up the stairs, but that's not possible (it's not barrier-free).The hanging Buddha statues are wonderful as an exhibit. Please allow approximately 30 minutes for the tour. There are also votive tablets.

The three-story pagoda is said to be a place to commemorate the war dead from the Boshin War to the present day. In the back is the Zenkoji History Museum. It's interesting to see videos and materials from the most recent Reiwa 4 year opening ceremony. There is a section where you can copy one character of the Heart Sutra. I remember a few famous lines at the beginning and end, so I ended up writing them down. I prayed for peace and health.
