Very cute little place! My favorite parts were: 1. the bioluminescent squid 2. the pinniped cove (?) because the seals were SCREAMING at each other it was like a dramatic argument, but then they'd suddenly plop down asleep again. What drama queens! 3. The dolphin show!

A must visit if you're a huge fan of dolphins. The dolphin show was THE highlight of the entire place. Perhaps even my entire Niigata portion of my trip. The show is a 10mins feast for the eyes as the dolphins strut and show off their stuff doing aerial tricks and frolic under water. The rest of the aquarium has the typical stuff you'd find at one. The giant main tank and other individual tanks housing the myriads of fishes and marine life. The whole aquarium is split into 4 sections. 1) The indoor tanks area. 2) The dolphin theater. 3) The seal habitat and 4) The penguin/Arctic area. I enjoyed the dolphin show so much I stayed way longer than I anticipated. (Went for 3 shows even haha)

This was a great aquarium with many interesting animals. I especially enjoyed the area where you were allowed to (gently) touch the animals - some fish and starfish. It was not crowded when we went, near closing time.

Great aquarium that features a different aquatic life in their environments. The dolphin show was very fun! I really enjoyed the variety of displays of the different species in different places, inside, outside, in the tube, etc. All very interesting! Well worth the price of admission!

Nice place to go with kids on a weekend to kill time. There are lot of shows and some very nice fishes that the kids would love to watch. It is very close to japan sea , so if you stay until close time you can watch beautiful sunset and spend some time on beach. Very big parking lot. Over all very nice.
