Nishiki Market - It's incredibly crowded, but at the same time, every second is worth it. The food is delicious, with a wide variety to choose from. There's something for every taste bud, and the selection of beverages is equally impressive. You can also find souvenir shops offering great deals. I absolutely loved it, and I'm definitely coming back tomorrow!

Amazing spot full of cute little shops with traditional food, arts and crafts from Kyoto! Be sure to go hungry and try everything you lay your eyes on! Super busy but will be worth it! At the end of the alley, there's a cute little shrine it's worth visiting too!

A must go to visit if you're in Kyoto. It's only about a 20 minute walk from Kyoto station or a quick 5 minute taxi ride. It's a large, open market that is multiple blocks long as probably has over 100 vendors. You'll see everything sold from fresh seafood, grilled seafood, soft serve, fresh vegetables, decorative items, alcohol, etc... It's fun just walking around and buying a little bit of everything. Just pace yourself as there's so many good food vendors you'll want to try.

Love the selection of food, and the unique products you can buy. But what stands out the most for me is the cleanliness! Never saw a marketplace this clean! I brought my kids and they really enjoyed their time here.

Well, this is a touristy market for sure but it is worth visiting for the vibe and the food. Some of the foods are truly legit. My all-time favorite is the tofu shop where they made tofu donut and tofu soft serve. Such a light yet pleasant sensation from both sweets. The food stalls selling seafood look amazing too.
