This museum collects and exhibits art, crafts, and archaeological materials from a vast area of ​​the Orient, centered on ancient Mesopotamia, but also extending from Egypt to West India. It is said to be based on the collection of businessman Shinjiro Yasuhara, and you will be overwhelmed by its quantity and quality. Even when viewed with modern eyes, the beauty of crafts such as jewelry remains impressive, and it is also fun to think about the ancient people who used them. The permanent exhibitions are arranged mainly by use and purpose on the 1st floor, and by region on the 2nd floor. There are plenty of explanatory panels, so even people with no prior knowledge can enjoy it. I think it's a very valuable museum, but even on weekends there weren't many visitors, so it felt a little lonely. However, I was able to take my time and look around. If you haven't seen it yet, we highly recommend you visit.

A well focused museum specialising in the history of the area better known as the Middle East. The replica of the code of Hammurabi itself is worth a trip itself. The cafe on the 2nd floor befits any respectable museum.
