The Sūkōdō was a Han school of Tsu Domain under the Edo period Tokugawa shogunate. It was located in the Marunouchi neighborhood of the city of Iga in the Kansai region of Japan. The school was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1930, with the area under protection expanded in 1994.

This is a domain school from the Edo period. For 300 yen, you can see valuable historical sites and it's a great deal. There are no people around, so you can enjoy the view at your leisure.

A small old house that was holding an exhibition. Free entry. Pretty garden. A little off the main city centre.

This is an amazing old samurai school building that holds many interesting concerts and exhibitions. I saw the most amazing modern art exhibition in this old space and it was an incredible Juxtaposition

Nice quality former samurai school which costs 200 yen to enter. There are not many of these around so it was quite nice to see....
