It is located about 5 minutes by car from Tojinbo. There are far fewer people than Tojinbo, so it's much easier to spend time here. Although you can't go around the whole island, you can see Ominato Shrine and Uriwari Water and return in about 20 minutes. On the sea side, where there is water like a melon, the view of the plate-shaped rocks and the sea was beautiful and I was impressed. It seems that Uriwari no Mizu is a spring water spot, but I followed the location from the signboard, but it was very difficult to find...! I found it and took a picture of what I thought was probably this. The rocks are slippery and the sea is close, so please be careful with children and the elderly. I thought it would be really scary if I came at night because there were no people around.

A very nice island. An island where the god of the sea lives. Enjoy the beautiful sea and topography while getting plenty of energy. It takes about 40 minutes to go around the island, but if you're taking lots of photos, it won't be long enough. Last time I came to Fukui, the wind was so strong and the waves so rough that I had to cross the bridge, but this time I was able to cross safely and take a walk. 4 minutes by bus from Tojinbo to Ojima. Please note that the bus does not stop at the Ojima bus stop during the winter, but there will be announcements so you don't have to worry. I want to go there again when I go to Fukui.

I visited on Wednesday, November 15th. In front of the free parking lot, Ojima Bridge with a long red railing stretches over the island. As you approach the island, you will see a cliff with a cross section of columnar joints on the left bank. When you arrive on the island, you will see the torii gate of Ominato Shrine. If you go up the steep stairs at the back, there is a promenade that goes around the island. As we reached the magnetic rocky outcrop overlooking the ocean, we heard thunder and pitch black clouds approaching from offshore, so we quickly returned to the parking lot. As expected, by the time we arrived at Tojinbo, we couldn't get out of the car due to the pouring rain and thunder.

A spot you definitely want to visit on a nice day! The sea breeze is very pleasant and comfortable for a short walk! That's what I thought, but when you arrive at the shrine and go to the top to pray, there are quite steep stairs. I recommend wearing shoes that are comfortable to walk in as the footing is not good.

My friends and I went to this island on a rainy day. We were alone the entire time and could really feel like we were exploring a small wet forest. The island had a very mysterious feel to it.
