Lovely little garden with beautiful landscaping. However it is a little small, walking around in only a few minutes.

It seems to be popular among tourists from Korea and China. You can easily enjoy the Japanese garden and green tea and Japanese sweets set.

Just curious to see a Japanese garden. It's quite small but I enjoyed the calmness of the place. There's an entrance fee of ¥100 to enter the garden, and a different fee for the tea... I think it's prettier too during spring and autumn (came here on a winter season).

This was the first time I ever visited Rakusuien even thoughvI have been to Fukuoka two times before. I came here to show Japanese style garden to my parent and they really loved it. Highly recommendes.

A wonderful piece of nature in the middle of Fukuoka. This lovely place is run by three nice ladies. The entrance fee is 100yen (~60cent) for adults and I recommend buying some fish food (also 100 yen) there and feeding the koi. Additionally, if you ask for tea you can pay 500yen (~3€) for a serving of handmade matcha tea that goes along with handmade sweets in a tatami room with a wonderful view into the garden. Altogether it's an unexpectedly wonderful experience.
