It is a place where time passes slowly and you can see beautiful flowers throughout the seasons. Kamekichi was basking in the sun!

After passing through the tunnel north of the flower center, you will find the grounds of Ryuhoji Temple on your right, and if you follow the long stone wall, you will arrive at the Sanmon Gate. The thatched Sanmon gate is quite nice. The temple was built as a family temple for the Tamanawa Hojo clan, a branch of the Odawara Hojo clan. To the west is a hill with the ruins of Tamanawa Castle, and the temple would have occupied part of the castle area at that time. The precincts are vast and refreshing with green hills in the background. Although it is comparable in size to the famous tourist temples in downtown Kamakura, there are not many people who come here for sightseeing purposes. The Tamanawa History Museum and the Ishii family residence (relocated), which is an important cultural property, are located within the grounds. There is also a memorial tower for the Hojo clan, but it is a modern one, and the grave tower from the Sengoku period does not seem to exist. It is said that during the Edo period, Arai Shiroishi, who owned territory nearby, donated temple territory. It is said that there is a monument written by Murohatosu in the precincts called ``Arai Genko Arai Inscription'', but I accidentally overlooked it. ``Asasan Taifu'' was the name given to the lower rank of Jugoi in the Tang Dynasty, and Shiraishi was the lower rank of Junior Fifth Rank, Shimochikugo no kami.

It's small, but very quiet and peaceful. You probably will want more than this if you travel for an hour to see it, but its a greatstop if you are just passing by

I large and beautiful temple with a nice little museum in the forward part of the grounds. It also has an old Japanese house that is a museum that you can enter and walk around, it has a 200¥ entrance fee. The temple grounds are well kept with benches to sit at and are very peaceful. We were there for two hours and saw only one person. The building, that looks like a house, on the right side of the temple is were you go to get your GoShuin. It is a wonderful temple to experience and we highly recommend it
