The most famous temple with beautiful autumn leaves 🍁, the mountain behind the main hall is mostly maple 🍁. Late November is the best time to see them, and if you go on a holiday from November 15th to 25th, this time it was the last Sunday, so there were quite a few fallen leaves on the mountains. If the weather is nice, the sky is blue and red, and there are no people, so it's calmer than the crowds of Nagatoro.

The first temple of the Chichibu Thirty-Four Kannon Sacred Sites. According to “Chichibu Kannon Reigenki,” In the fourth year of Kanko (1007), Shoshazan Shoku Shonin of Harima (Banshu) received the orders of his teacher, ``Musashi Province Chichibu is the land of Kanzeon Bodhisattva, so go to his land and edify him.'' His disciple Gentsu came to this place and edified the villagers, reciting the four parts of the Morning and Evening Myoden. Performing memorial services and building sutra mounds, It has the auspicious origin of being the most sacred place in Chichibu. The main hall is beautifully appointed with a gabled roof and a staggered gable. It has been designated as a Saitama Prefecture tangible cultural property. A complete set of pilgrimage supplies can be obtained at the Nokyo-sho. We also offer temple yoga and 1 night 2 day Zen experiences.
