The Osaka downtown ethic-taste wonderland. The streets have got a little too inbound-happy and meaninglessly festive even to foreign sightseers recently, however that may be really Osakan (me as a legit global Tokyoite intellect can never understand such stuff anyways, though). Please try do everything listed in the tourist attraction list around and eat, then, may be an idea to explore the south (shabby labour town street mall), further south (“Special” serviced restaurants area, picture/film shooting prohibited) or the southwest (lively deep downtown township) at your discretion and risk management.

Be prepared for queues at just about every eatery especially over the weekend. It really could be so much more but kind of fell short of being a place of nostalgia and retro-ness. One good thing was the 90s arcade games that were well maintained and it was so good to play the old games.

The ticket to the tower is differentiate into 2 kind. One is just the interior of the 2nd highest level. Another is able to access to the highest floor which is the outdoor and also the interior which is 1 level down. There is also another ticket that is only for the slide from the 5th floor. Make sure to know which ticket you are getting. (Never take the slide therefore no photo on it) If I remembered correctly, only the interior is less then 1000yen. For both interior and exterior is like 1200yen if I am not wrong. Alot of food restaurant near by but just for heads up, they will charge 300yen per pax in advance for "appetiser" fee. No matter u go in for a drink or light snacks, the fee is applicable.

Found this place recommended .. simply a place lost in time since WWII? … the original tower was built in 1912 taking after the Eiffel. The area was shady past but now it’s vibrant and quaint .. simply love the nostalgia

A whole new world and tourists attraction around the Tsutenkaku tower. Plenty of souvenirs , tax free shops and also local restaurants for your meals. Fast food chain McD also available along with convenience stores. The street is busy and crowded during day and night time. If you're going up for a lookout on the tower, suggest to come early as the wait will be long passing the afternoon hours.
