Nice place to learn about one of the biggest samurai battles of Japanese history that left around 47000 casualties in battle. The only thing is that now many of the historic war zones are residential areas and you are walking in between houses. Eitherways if you are interested in what happened during the sekigahara battle, it is a nice day to spend here.

Serene and simple monument to the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600. Curiously, the monument displays emblems from leaders of both sides of the conflict (Tokugawa shown on the right, Ishida on the left). The immediate landscape is also worth a quick walk, just to take in the calm and compare against the chaos and bloodshed all those years ago.

In the end it's more or less just a rice paddy - but if you know the history behind it and what it means for Japan, it's just cool!! You can even try samurai armors there, for instance the rebuild of Ieyasu-san's armor!!!

A little bit off the beaten off but well worth because I’m a history buff. The whole country changed because of this battle. It was definitely one of my bucket list items and I’m glad I was able to visit.

Very important site in Japanese history. The battle that took place here finally united all of Japan as one.
