A small local shrine. Closed when we went, but you get a view of the sea and port. No goshuin available

A quiet, almost deserted shrine in Otaru. Accessible on foot by a series of stairs ! I think it's called the Foreigner's Slope. Nice view of downtown Otaru and the sea from the steps.

This is one of my best experience visiting a shrine in Japan while walking in slippery snowy road starting from otarutakeno sushi! From there I just follow Google maps while snapping pictures along the way, Japan is such a beautiful place with lots of awesome scenery! How I wish I can stay there hahahaha! Well, to be honest there isn't much thing at the shrine but just visit it to enjoy the scenic view ya and enjoy the pictures I posted! Instead of spending so much time on the sakaimachihondori street, take some time to walk to the shrine! Is an experience you will never forget!!!

Nice peaceful shrine to visit. Is on a bit of a hill, so has a good view of the bay. Beware that this place is about 15 mins walk to the shops. The map given made this place look quite close. Still would recommend.

Did a little hike to reach this place, and glad I did it. There were almost no one when I was there, except for one local who dropped by to pay his respects. It so peaceful. The view was all mine for the taking. ❤️
