A nice aquarium. The aquarium was very nice overall, though it was packed with people inside. Weirdly enough though, I couldn’t spot a single tourist. It is more popular with locals. The aquarium is really cool, I got to touch animals you wouldn’t normally touch, like a spider crab and small sharks! You can feed some animals too. I am a little worried about the seal. When not performing, it is kept in a very small pool with little space to move around in. :( Please be aware of the animals well-being. Tickets are cheap though.

very cute fishes overall, but when we got to this tank i was a bit concerned by the way they are taking care of the axolotls. my boyfriend owns a couple as pets and he was also concerned. The lights in the tank are too bright for them and the water quality must not be good. they look under large amounts of stress because of the lights and their gills look decayed. :( i hope this aquarium finds a better way to house these animals so that they can be happy.

A bit old and small but fun and of one of the best selections. The souvenir shop is also interesting and has some rare items.

Fun and educational aquarium. Good cost performance considering that admission is only ¥500 / person. There are a few interactive areas where visitors can touch / feed some of the sea creatures. Displays available in Japanese only; but they are very fun and educational to read if you speak the language. Nice aquarium for young children. - Very small aquarium - Sea lion shows on weekdays - Expect to spend about an hour at the aquarium - 15-min walk away from the Gamagori Station - Not very crowded on weekdays
