Nice shrine with a beautiful tree and stone lanterns.

Pretty, mystical looking shrine with hand drawn goshuin. Sadly the female calligrapher seemed to be in a bad mood. It seems I came when she sat down in the back and did inventory or something similar. She was clearly annoyed with the foreigner lady interrupting her.

Although this shrine in Nara Park is located not so far from the magnificent Todai-ji and Nigatsudo hall, Tamukeyama Hachimangu is very quiet. Not many tourists visits this shrine, makes it even more peaceful and worthwhile.
