Amazing spot to see the whole Otaru city, I would recommend to visit it at night as the city’s lights look incredible. You can take a bus from Otaru’s station (240¥) and then to go up you must use the ropeway (1600¥ round trip). You can stay as long as you want, at the top you can take pictures and they have a restaurant that is not expensive and cool museum about ski and the mountain’s yokai Tengu

It was great to get up there in the cable car. Great view and a nice restaurant up the top. The cable car is running up to 9pm. The connection with the bus is also very good.

Tenguyama Observation Deck (Hokkaido Three Major Night View). One of Hokkaido’s three scenic night view and because it’s winter, 5pm is very dark already. The ropeway is also near a ski resort so snow ❄️ is everywhere here.

Great time up there. Not much snow in town, good decision to came up here and feel the cold and the white snow. We took the bus no. 9 from the bus terminal by Otoru JR station. We took the bus at 15:10 hrs. Time was perfect. We got off the cable to the Mt. by the time that still have great light for taking photo. So, we waited not too long to see the lights up in town and started to get dark. It's perfect time to see both day light and night up there. Highly recommend!
