Tentokuin
4-chōme-4-4 Kodatsuno, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 920-0942, Japan
Tentokuin is a very special Soto Zen temple in Kanazawa with beautiful interiors, mechanical dolls and a rather romantic history. The karakuri doll show lasts for 15 minutes and it is a good idea to time your visit to the temple so that you can see this show.

The gate is over 400 years old. Great place as temple.

The vast difference in the grounds of Tentoku-in is noticeable among the residential buildings surrounding it. I heard in the explanation that it was several times larger than it is now when it was first built, and I thought it was very important. The day I visited was a slightly cold Sunday afternoon in late February, but there were only a few people visiting and I was able to pray quietly. I was able to learn more about the history of our hospital through the exhibits of our hospital's materials in the main hall and the ``Karakuri Puppet Show.'' In the ``Karakuri Puppet Show'', who is the gardener? I was surprised when the man suddenly transformed.

A local temple attributed to the hime of the Maeda family. There is a statue of her on the back of the main hall. There are also a large kitsune and a tengu mask that you can see if you walk along the hallway. There were some major artifacts related to the hime and her relations to the Edo bakuhu. The staffs were really kind. Though they were not fluent in English, they tried their best to understand my words.
