Teradaya is home to many important events that changed Japan. A visit here is a must but do understand that the staff here have limited grasp of English.

If you are interested in Japanese history then this is a nice place to visit. Although not the original building, it's a very good reproduction of where Sakamoto Ryoma was attacked by government forces. During the day, the building acts as a small museum and enjoyable museum (there is little English signage though). In the evening it's possible to stay overnight in one of the upstairs rooms.

Cool little piece of history! This place looks exactly the way it was 200 years ago. You can see some of the battle marks through the house. Be aware when you come in you must take off your shoes and the place is quite small so be ware bigger people you will have a hard time and will need to bend your head all the time. If you are coming with a bicycle there is some space to park it next to the entrance. Usually the guard will help you park your bicycle. It is a great historical place. We recommend it strongly!!!

A historical place (but some people stated that it is only rebuilt after fire about 100yrs ago). The place is not big, and the exhibition is mainly in Japanese.
