Let's return to Takasaki from Hakui Kannon and eat the local gourmet Takasaki pasta. I thought so, but I wasn't really hungry yet since I ate a meal at noon. When I looked on a map for somewhere I could take a walk near Takasaki Station, I discovered the Takasaki Castle Ruins. It seems to be close to the station, so I took a little detour. What appears to be the ruins of a castle can be seen along the river, but it is only a small part of the site. Is this it? Like. It's not a place you'd go out of your way to see. It's like when you walk by, you just get a glimpse of it. The cherry blossoms seem to be beautiful in spring, so depending on the time of year, it might be a good place to enjoy them.

The Takasaki Castle ruins are located in an area lined with large buildings such as Suzuran Department Store and City Hall. Although the castle no longer exists, the historically valuable turret has been preserved and you can see the remains of the moat. Cherry blossoms are planted in the moat, and in that season, the castle ruins are dyed in cherry blossom color, captivating people passing by. If you are visiting the Takasaki Castle ruins by car, it is convenient to use the municipal parking lot.

The remains of the former Takasaki castle within the castle grounds, which are now reused for various public buildings and places. The remains are easy to reach by a 10 Minute walk from Takasaki station.
