Fun to look around, they put the equipments for making sake, also introduced the history of their Japanese winery, you can also do tasting and shop some souvenirs which were made by sake such as sake mask, sake facial cream….

One of my favorite sites in this trip! The small exhibition was interesting. And of course it served beautiful sake! Ume sake 最高~ definitely a must -buy if you visit Yonezawa.

This sake museum is housed in a wonderful old building which was itself a sake brewery before Toko took on the responsibility for renovating it. So glad that they preserved it! It's worth checking if a guide is available to get the most out of your visit but you can also follow along with the English explanations. The exhibition of old merchant equipment and reconstructions of traditional rooms are really interesting and don't miss out on the lonely garden. It's best not to drive if visiting here so that you can do some sake sampling. Toko's sake is very high quality and, with a variety of types to choose from, you are sure to find one that you like.

A bit disappointed on my visit to the museum, expecting some special promotion on sake or tasting for visitors but no such luck.

Cozy atmosphere! 😻 There is a lot of information in English, so it’s easy to understand the history. Also, there is a video showing how Japanese make a sake. The collection has items used at the time, all very well preserved. The store has plenty of sake options to try. I highly recommend! 🍶
