Tomonoura Museum of History and Folklore was built on the high ground of Tomo castle ruins to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Fukuyama city system. In the hall, there is a permanent exhibition which displays not only ancient, historical documents, but also more modern texts. There’s texts from old folklore and documents from festivals and events such as the Otebi rituals, as well as the Shrine ritual of Bow, so that you can easily get a sense of the history of Tomonoura.

This is a gallery run by Sojukai! Pictures drawn by people with intellectual disabilities are on display. It was a place that made me feel something (...🤔) in my heart that I lost while being chased by everyday life! I would like to visit again.

Interesting experience to see art museum focused on disabled/special needs people. The old building also featured a strong characters from old time Japan.
