If you’re a okay of waiting in line and over priced food, this place is for you. Everything looks amazing. The marinated black cod is our favorite here. The staff can also speak english. We also tried fresh prawn and scallops which I believe is raw, it’s great, never thought raw food can be this good. The place is also clean. For a fish market, there’s no foul smell. The staff loves it when there are too many people waiting in line because it also attracts more people. Probably one of the best tourist traps here in Tokyo

Okay, so this place was like Disneyland for me. I loved it there, and it was such a wonderful place. Now, let me tell you about this tiny stall with only six seats I stumbled upon. The lady running the show was a gem. Super friendly, chatty, and made the whole experience awesome! The food was something else, it might just be the best damn salmon and tuna donburi I've ever had. The rice was delicious and everything was so nice I can't even explain. I would love to go back just to eat there again!

Went here for breakfast and totally enjoyed myself. The food is top notch. I spent about 60,000 yen on fish because I’m a pig but would have spent 3x times that for lower quality in my own country. There was a crowd even early but it’s worth it. Just take your time and don’t be surprised if you wait in line for something. The wait will be worth it! The food quality is incredible and pretty good value. It’s not “cheap,” but the price is fair in my opinion. I would recommend the grilled eel, the fatty tuna belly, and the salmon. That being said, the crab also looked amazing and you can’t go wrong with the sea urchin. There’s little restaurants/cafes on the back streets and food stalls on the main roads. We didn’t do a tour or anything, just rocked up. Worked fine for us but I believe you can also organise food tours here. I would recommend spending 1.5-2 hours. Not much to do but eat!

Visited in the late morning and it was far less crowded than expected. We walked though the cafe area above and down to the streets. I love an open air food market and appreciated all the specialties stalls but was surprised at how “dull” everything seemed. For me I would expect bustling crowds, lively people and tantalizing smells. It was somehow lacking in any of that. The food that I tried was fresh and delicious but I definitely recommend visiting in the morning where there’s more activity.

Be sure to go early if you like to try out the beef bowl. The queue already started at 6:15 before the shop opens at 6:30am. And try not to go on weekend. It will be sardine packed beyond a nice walk. The market is really like a huge food amusement park to me. Loads of fun, sampling and explorations.
