Truly a gem! It's a well curated exhibit with plenty of examples from rough to polish and real life examples of the gem in its final stage of use. Not a big exhibit, so it won't take too long, and a nice area by the lake as well.

Small museum about gem. You can learn about the gem, in the stone form and in the jewelry form. There are also some art pieces that were made of gems.

Very easy to get to from the station, tickets are cheap and the gemstone collection is superb. There is a lovely jewelry shop too with every price range from small gifts to high end ruby rings. Lots of English signs and information on all gems.

Its a gorgeous museum, well worth the 600yen. Staff is very helpful and polite and they have beautiful displays and a very expansive gift shop.

I’m not really into rocks and minerals but even I could appreciate how many different types they have. It’s a great place to visit even if you’re not that interested. They also have a little shop where you can choose from a dozen different jewelries to buy.
