I was so impressed by this museum! It has many different visual aids (illustrations, videos, dioramas) to bring the history to life. The artwork is high quality. As a foreigner, I appreciated that there were enough captions in English to understand everything. It helped me understand and appreciate the other sites in Yonezawa.

Interesting displays about the life in Yamagata and how the Uesugus came and worked here. There was also an Ukiyo-E exhibit when I was there.
