Lot of foxes. Little bit smelly. Kids friendly but need to go with adult. Visitors can come by a local bus but usually fully booked. Visitors can come by taxi from train station cost around 4,500 yen.

Totally love at the first sight. They have a lot of foxes. Especially the rare white fox is the most charmed kinds of all. The kids and even me, really love to come back many times. Please be careful under the warching not touching them. Follow the notifications of the staffs, you will enjoy the best fairytale time ever. Don’t bring the pet (especially the dog). They do not accept.

The foxes are so sweet. Some may think they are trapped within the boundary and worse, in cages. As a tourist I have no say in this matter. But from the point of attraction, this is one of a time experience, to come close to another cute animal other than domestic pets like cats and dogs. They argue all the time and it’s fun to just watch them.

Always wanted to go the fox village and I wasn’t disappointed. Just remember before you plan they close every Wednesday!! I drove up there from Sendai only took an hour, I was looking at buses and trains it took too long and too much hassle driving was the best option in my opinion! Once you go inside you will see several foxes in cages and some chained up, they are the friendly ones, twice a day 11am and 2pm staff will bring them out and you can hold them while the staff take pictures for you! Once you get inside the large enclosure you will see over 200 foxes maybe, mostly they are sleeping curled up like cinnamon rolls! If you are ever in Sendai make this trip you won’t be disappointed!

Very cute and peaceful place to see a lot of foxes. Foxes were all pretty relaxed and didn't seem stressed. It's fairly small and probably won't take more than an hour even if you stick around for feeding time. In the weekend morning there were very few people about. Driving there is quite easy and there is a good sized parking lot. Although staff don't speak English the basic rules are printed in English and easy to follow.
