You can feel the history at the family temple of the lord of Himeji Castle, a national treasure, and the plum blossoms are beautiful. By the way, you can also enjoy TRAIL runs.

Park your car in the parking lot and walk for about 5 minutes. I visited at the end of September, and it was a pleasant place with a nice breeze. From the information board, you can clearly see that this is a historical place where Nagaharu Bessho and Hideyoshi Hashiba lived. There is also Terumasa Ikeda's Olympic Tower, and I think it is a place where you can feel even more history.

Even though I was allowed to go without contacting them, I was allowed to visit (with explanation from the chief priest)!! ️ I was even entertained with tea 🙇‍♀️ I was able to see a Buddhist statue up close for the first time in a long time, and I couldn't stop being excited 😆 The plum grove was also beautifully maintained and wonderful 🌸 I'm planning to go again during the cherry blossom season ^_^

The oldest temple in the Banshu region. The current main hall was rebuilt around 1670 by Lord Tadatsugu Sakakibara. It is located at the end of the mountain path from the parking lot. The restroom was in the parking lot. Climbing shoes are recommended as the footing can be rough. The main hall was not open, so I recommend calling in advance before going. *It is a shortcut if you go from the stairs next to the restroom in the parking lot. Please note that the restrooms are shared between men and women, and there were no paper towels. I visited again. The chief priest showed us around the main hall. Anyway, I was impressed. Thank you very much for your kind support and guidance even though it was a sudden visit! !
