Not really a place necessary to visit during the winter season. The water dries up in some spots. I'm sure it is very beautiful during the other seasons though, especially spring. If visiting in December, you can skip or passby really quick.

We biked here, otherwise a bit far of a walk from Nara station. You can also take a bus here. A nice, peaceful area to relax in. The pagoda has some benches. Lake is calm and beautiful.

Really beautiful first stop before heading out to Nara Park. Full of the autumn vibes and a deer or two there as well. It is really worth quite a few photographs there.

Love this pavilion built over water. Makes a nice resting point to enjoy the calm waters and beautiful scenery.

A very nice quaint shelter in the middle of the lake, the views from here was spectacular and many photos were taken! The deer even came over and asked us for food, making the experience even more memorable. Definitely not to be missed when here in Nara Park.
