This art museum features exhibits dedicated to famous Tsuwano-born illustrator Mitsumasa Anno, recipient of the Hans Christian Andersen Award and recognized as a Person of Cultural Merit. The exhibit building has an impressive design, with white plaster walls and a red-tiled roof. Works such as “Tsuwano, Washibara” and “The Picture Book of Geocentric Theory” are rotated on a three-month basis. There’s also a planetarium on-site as well as a space with a recreation of Anno’s home and atelier. A separate building contains a library and other facilities.

I have loved Mitsumasa Yasuno since I was a child, so I visited him. I didn't know much about Japanese landscape paintings, but there were many on display here. The illustrations and illustrations he created while traveling throughout his life have a mysterious exotic feel, and together with European folk tales, they stirred the hearts of children. Located right next to Tsuwano Station, the museum is built like a beautiful elementary school, and there is also a library that is open to the public, so even children who love books will enjoy it.

I've always wanted to go there someday, so I decided to visit this time. There was also a special exhibition, so I guess it's some kind of connection. I was able to appreciate the works at a leisurely pace, which made me want to draw, and I also learned a lot of tips on how to draw😊. Thank you very much😊🍀🍁.

Mitsumasa Yasuno's works are a world that can be enjoyed by both adults and children. In his own words, he says that (the things you study in elementary school will influence your entire life). Mr. Yasuno was probably a child who took his studies seriously during his elementary school days. And when Mr. Yasuno travels overseas, he doesn't have any inconveniences, including the language. This is just my own speculation, but I think Mr. Yasuno started studying English early when he was in elementary school. However, I'm jealous of people who are smart enough to go abroad and not experience any inconvenience. Moreover, I am envious of the fact that I have the financial strength and ability to go to various places overseas. That's good. However, Mr. Yasuno himself has written picture books about his trips abroad, so I guess he likes children. A picture book by Mitsumasa Yasuno about his travels abroad is (Travel Picture Book), which includes a central European edition, an Italian edition, and an American edition. There is also a Danish edition. It's not that I'm tired of continuing to draw pictures of foreign landscapes, it's not that I'm tired of it, but I've continued to do so because I love it. (Travel Picture Book Mr. Yasuno himself is known as a traveling painter.

A museum dedicated to Mitsumasa Yasuno, Japan's proud landscape painter and picture book author. This museum has a wonderful view of the world of Tsuwano, his hometown, which he loved all his life, as well as his works. The structure of the building is wonderful, and on weekdays there are fewer people so you can take a closer look. Visiting this museum and walking around Tsuwano will leave you with a deeper impression of this city. If you come to Tsuwano, this is a wonderful museum that you should definitely stop by.
